I rarely write reviews, but have been so happy with this purchase that it seems worth the effort. We needed a small capacity high-sided skillet with a lid to replace one that we used frequently. I researched ratings, but did not want to spend the $80-$120 for the highest rated models on Consumers Reports. So I went with the T-Fal Signature Hard Anodized 10-Inch Skillet based on Amazon's ratings, since it was in our price range. We have had it for about a month now, and have been extremely pleased. The feel and appearance of the skillet is very solid. The sides are even higher than our previous skillet, making for less splashes, yet not so high as to make it a saucepan/pot. The nonstick surface is super easy to clean, and it heats very well on our glass-top range. The lid has a small steam escape vent on it, which I was concerned would let out too much steam and make things go dry. However the vent doesn't let all the steam out...just enough to reduce boil-overs but still keeping most of the moisture inside. (You do have to watch where you put your hand when picking up the lid though; as my husband found out, that steam can be hot! The handles themselves stay cool though.) The dual handle system is also very nice for lifting without being obtrusive. I don't know how well the skillet handles dishwashers; it takes up a lot of room in the dishwasher and since it is so easy to clean we just hand-wash it. Time will tell on how long-lasting the non-stick surface is, but for now it is our most frequently used pan.
